Introduction
Afghanistan Center for Training and Development ( ACTD)
ACTD stands for Afghanistan Center for Training and Development. ACTD is an Afghan national non-governmental and non for-profit organization, founded in April 2006, and registered with national ministries (Ministry of Economy, and Ministry of Public Health) of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. ACTD is the product of consultations, assessments and dialog among well versed professionals of the current development and democratization stream of Afghanistan.

The vision of ACTD is to see realization and development of a vibrant and vital civil society in Afghanistan where the interest, concerns, and dignity of the civilians, the citizen, and the common man are taken seriously and more people have access to resources and power over choices.
ACTD Mission
ACTD will contribute to bring about and support genuine and coherent development practices among people, organizations, and institutions working for the development of Afghan Nation through community, civil society and institutional development. ACTD has established sensible presence in northern, central, eastern, southeastern and western regions of Afghanistan. Through funds from World Bank, USAID, CordAid, Counterpart International, MoPH, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, Save the Children, Royal Embassy of the Netherlands, Global Fund, GAVI HSS, Compri-A, Oxfam Novib, GTZ, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, HN-TPO, Chemonics International and MI, ACTD implements projects in civil society development, research, training/capacity building, health services, and community development services areas.
